While discovering the lives of women-sex symbols in popular rap videos, we see the stress that 'The Ripper' goes through after realizing his booty shaking models are never going to show up to the video shoot. The Ripper is forced to find creative ways to shoot his music video without them. This play was produced in Boston through Can't Wait Productions and La Gringa Loca Productions in 2012. In 2016 the play was produced in Los Angeles California by J.Blaise Productions. It was directed by Jessica Blaise and was presented for two nights at the Sherry Theater in North Hollywood. Lecciones en La Calle // Promotional Videos for Miss Rizos // 2011
Directed by: Paloma Valenzuela & Ivan Aybar // Edited by: Paloma Valenzuela
These two short web videos were created as a part of the Miss Rizos Blog, a curly-hair blog based in the Dominican Republic. These videos were designed to showcase the voices (or rather words) of the Dominican public in the city of Santo Domingo, to help us learn a little more about the social issues that exist here for those who decide to wear their hair naturally. The videos were meant to motivate other Dominicans to let their hair down, let it free and go natural if they so choose!
As a symbol of this "Lesson in the Street" Ivan Aybar and Paloma Valenzuela ran all around the city with a wooden-framed white board and two black dry erase markers. Our participants would write on the board, the answers to our questions, and what we learned inspired them, and hopefully will inspire you. |
Estos dos cortos videos web fueron creados como parte del movimiento de la señorita Rizos en la República Dominicana, para www.missrizos.com.
